WARDOGS edition comparison
| Edition | US price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $39.99 | The base game and the announced pre-order Closed Beta entitlement |
| Supporter Edition | $49.99 | The base game plus the cosmetic Supporter Pack |
The Supporter Pack is announced as three faction-branded starter-weapon camos, a Littlebird helicopter Taxi camo, a hideable supporter icon, and grenade and helmet bobbleheads. It is a cosmetics-and-support choice, not a combat upgrade.
Prices were checked in the US Steam data on August 23, 2026. Your currency, tax and checkout total can differ, and Steam remains the authority at purchase time.
Is WARDOGS free to play?
No. The main game is a paid Steam product. Steam also offers a free Request Access route for the limited Closed Beta, but a Playtest request is not ownership of the main game and does not guarantee admission.
Does buying include Beta access?
The official offer says pre-order customers receive guaranteed access to the August Closed Beta. That promise applies to this announced event; it does not promise admission to every future private test.
The announced Closed Beta server window runs from August 21 at 17:00 UTC to August 24 at 02:00 UTC. If test access is your reason to buy, check the time-aware release page and confirm that the separate Playtest appears in your Library before assuming the purchase solves access.
Do not pay for a third-party Playtest key
Use the official Steam product and refund information. The guide cannot validate keys sold elsewhere.
Will the price increase?
BULKHEAD has described a staged plan: $39.99 during pre-order, a planned $49.99 base price in Early Access and a planned $59.99 base price at version 1.0. Those later prices are plans, not locked future store values.
The studio also says normal Early Access monetization will not sell in-game cash or gold bars for real money. That is the announced Early Access policy, not a promise about every decision after 1.0.

Open on YouTubeStandard, Supporter or wait?
| Your priority | Best current choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You want the game and do not value cosmetics | Standard | The base game without paying extra for the Supporter Pack |
| You value the listed cosmetics and want to support development | Supporter | The extra cost buys cosmetics, not power |
| You need proven performance, controller coverage or a finished economy | Wait | Plans and pre-release footage cannot answer those needs yet |
There is no announced competitive reason to upgrade. The real decision is whether the cosmetics have personal value and whether you are comfortable buying a work in progress before broad independent Early Access testing.
