Can you play WARDOGS right now?
No. The August Closed Beta has ended, the separate WARDOGS Playtest is not currently running, and no additional public test window has been announced.
The next confirmed point when buyers can play is the Windows Steam Early Access launch on September 10. A Playtest Library entry, wishlist, pre-order or Request Access button does not create access to a live server today.
Do not buy an unofficial Playtest key
Use Steam and official WARDOGS channels. An old signup form or a third-party listing is not proof that a working key will arrive.

September 10 is not the finished 1.0 release. It is the point when the paid game reaches players while balance, stability, performance, progression and content continue to change.
What does Request Access mean now?
Steam may still let you request access to the separate WARDOGS Playtest. That is an expression of interest for possible future testing, not admission to an active test.
If another test is announced later, use the dated official schedule and the separate Playtest app. The August pre-order guarantee was a past event benefit and does not promise entry to every future test.

What Early Access means here
BULKHEAD describes the core game as playable but still evolving. The announced Early Access direction includes 100-player, three-team battles, dynamic objectives, cash and XP progression, vehicles, logistics and proximity voice chat.
The studio expects to add maps, weapons, vehicles and objective variations while improving balance, stability and performance. Longer-term plans include deeper progression, a stronger seasonal metagame, expanded weapon categories and vehicle types such as fighter jets.
